Meet Sheldon De Souza

Founder and lead producer of Sheldon Universe Inc. — a Goan-Canadian producer, performer and creative director turning ideas into reality on stages large and small.

Sheldon De Souza — Producer & Creative Director
Producer · Performer · Creative Director

Raised in music, built for the stage

Sheldon De Souza trained in the St. Michael’s Choir School and Humber College’s junior jazz program, a classical and jazz foundation that still shapes how he directs a show. He carries that lineage forward from his grandfather, Maurice Concessio, a celebrated Indian big-band leader and jazz trombonist.

As former Operations Manager for Encore and General Manager of the Canadian Urban Music Conference, he built the production instincts behind Sheldon Universe — pairing hands-on stage experience with the operational discipline to run a festival, a gala or a broadcast-grade shoot.

  • TDOTFEST — Yonge-Dundas Square & Ontario Place

Personally curated and managed the full performance lineup across multiple venues.

  • 13 Rules Campaign — Uxbridge Music Festival

Managed complete audiovisual production featuring Juno winners Manic Drive, country artist Leah Daniels, world-champion beatboxer Scott Jackson, and original Toronto Raptors Acie Earl, Tracy Murray & Jimmy King.

  • Offset — Oshawa Performance

Coordinated production elements including the LED wall setup.

  • Piano performance for Warren Buffett at The Royal Ontario Museum

Performed for “Canada’s Elite” alongside distinguished guests.

Client Questions

Working directly with Sheldon

Will Sheldon personally be involved in my event, or just his team?

Sheldon personally leads the creative direction and technical planning on every booking and is typically on-site as producer for the event itself — he is not a name on a website who hands your event off to strangers.

Can Sheldon perform at my event as well as produce it?

Yes, on request — as a trained vocalist, pianist and performer, Sheldon can be booked to perform as part of a production he is also producing, though most clients book him purely as producer and technical director.

Have a producer who’s also a creator in your corner.

Tell me about your event and I'll come back with a plan, a look and a budget — one partner, the whole production.
